Wrotham School is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, near Sevenoaks, Kent. It has about 700 registered students, with around 120 in the sixth form and in 2012 the school was placed in the top 3% nationally.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the school lost their only in house IT expert. To further exacerbate the situation, during the same time, the school experienced a series of critical failures with their core IT infrastructure. This had serious implications for the school’s operations, impacting on their ability to provide a functional education platform to enable their staff to continue to teach adequately.

With over 800 pupils, the school needed to be fully operational as a matter of urgency.

Select Technology was engaged to bridge the gap and rebuild the failing systems, putting in hours of extended services to ensure the school could continue normal operations with minimal disruption to the pupils’ learning experience.

Once the IT infrastructure was stabilised, we were engaged to provide a fully managed support service, including a full-time onsite technician managing and addressing day-to-day IT issues with remote support for the infrastructure provided by our Help Desk team.

The school now has predictable running costs for managing their IT service whilst enjoying a superior level of service and a more reliable IT system.
